SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF HUMANITARIAN AID DISTRIBUTION STRATEGIES

Abstract

The issue of distributing humanitarian aid becomes particularly significant in cases of man-made disasters, natural emergencies, and military conflicts. Inefficient resource allocation can exacerbate the situation, leading to economic decline and increased poverty. The purpose of this research is to develop and apply the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method and the knapsack problem to optimize the distribution of humanitarian aid, aiming to improve the efficiency and targeted use of resources. The results indicate that applying the AHP method and the knapsack problem enables efficient distribution of humanitarian aid, taking into account the specific needs of different types of settlements. This ensures maximum utility of the provided aid and contributes to improving living conditions for the population. Using a comprehensive approach to the assessment and distribution of resources is critically important for the successful implementation of humanitarian projects in emergency zones.
