ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT IN EDUCATION

Abstract

The article examines the basic conceptual foundations of electronic document management. Defines that electronic document management is a set of processes for storing, transmitting, sending, creating, processing, receiving, using and disposing of electronic documents, which are carried out using the integrity of such documents circulating in the enterprise or organizations, based on the use of computer networks. Emphasis is placed on the main functions of the electronic document management system, in particular, reducing time, saving by abandoning the paper version of documents and maintaining a full cycle of information. Particular attention is paid to electronic document management in higher education institutions, which should be based on the grounds of one-time registration of the document in the system, the continuity of the movement of documents and the impossibility of duplication of documents.
