SCIENTOMETRIC CONTENT ANALYSIS OF THE DISSERTATION RESEARCH OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS

The necessity of improvement of the system of state management of economic development of regions is considered on the basis of the results of scientific researches of native scientists, who provide scientific and methodological substantiation of the course of transformation processes that are taking place in the regions of Ukraine. This defined the relevance of carrying out scientometric content analysis of dissertation research of state administration of economic development of regions. The aforementioned analysis made it possible to identify trends and key priority areas of scientific research of state administration of the economic development of the regions. In the course of the work, 2 187 pieces of information were analyzed, systematization of individual works devoted to the study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of managing the economic development of the regions was carried out, the characteristics and directions of the scientific searches of native scientists were revealed. The share of dissertation researches on the problems of economic development of the regions among all the works in the specialty «state administration» for the period of 1999 – 2019 amounted to 254 (11,61 %). Given the recognition of decentralization and the development of regions as priority areas of state policy, the number of scientific studies in this area should be recognized as insufficient. Issues of state management of economic development of regions prevail in research areas. The very low level of the number of works in which the issues of inter-regional and cross-border cooperation are studied is of concern. This leads to the intensification of scientific research in this area. In order to optimize scientific knowledge and improve the system of state administration of the economic development of regions, it is necessary to intensify research on this issue.
