Abstract

The energy-saving control of traction frequency-regulated asynchronous engines for a tram has been developed and investigated, which minimizes the total energy losses in these engines during start-stop regimes and the lowest power consumption of the tram in steady-state operating regimes. The calculated analytical dependences are obtained for the efficiency of the driving mechanism and the static moment of resistance of the tram drive, for the main energy losses of the traction engines and the total energy consumption of the tram. The electromechanical and energy processes in the traction frequency-regulated asynchronous engines for a tram under steady-state and start-braking regimes are investigated.
