SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUBJECT OF A CRIMINAL OFFENSE IN THE SPHERE OF ILLEGAL TRAFFIC OF NARCOTICS AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES

Separate characteristics of the subject of a criminal offense in the field of illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances Annotation. The authors conducted an analysis of individual characteristics of the subjects of criminal offenses in the field of illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors. Based on the results of the conducted research, the criminological, socio-demographic, criminal-legal characteristics of the subjects of drug crimes were determined. A general criminological portrait of the subject of the specified type of criminal offense was compiled. On this basis, it was established that the subjects of drug crimes are mostly male adults, the percentage of female crimes of this type and minors is insignificant. Criminal offenses related to the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are committed mainly by citizens of Ukraine, a small percentage of the subjects of this type of criminal offense are foreigners and stateless persons. An analysis of the level of education of the subjects of drug crimes was carried out. This indicates the overall identity of certain characteristics of the subject of drug crimes with the subjects of other criminal offenses. The presence of employees of some law enforcement agencies among the persons who committed criminal offenses was established. The authors of the article drew attention to minor subjects of drug crimes, analyzed their socio-demographic characteristics, determined the percentage ratio of their number to the total number of subjects of criminal offenses in the field of illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors. According to the results of the research, the authors came to the conclusion that the basis of combating drug crime is a direct preventive effect on the subject of a criminal offense related to the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
